What do Woody Allen, Napoleon Bonaparte and the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland have in common? Pocket watches. They all own or owned one. In fact, Woody Allen even added a little cynical background to his when he famously said "I'm very proud of my gold pocket watch. My grandfather, on his deathbed, sold me that watch."
Well it's back. The pocket watch. While the ones that we're proud to welcome to Twisted Time are not made of gold, these MMT pocket watches bring with them just as much class, not to mention considerably more hipster appeal.
MMT is a global brand - two of the three founders live in Hong Kong, the third in Paris - which is making great strides to reintroduce the pocket watch to watch lovers. And why not? It's stylish, timeless and a little quirky. Twisted Time goes a long way to bring you the most unusual and unique watch designs. Why should we be "strap-ist" about it? Besides, MMT call their pocket watches "time machines" and we like that. But let's be clear, MMT pocket watches are a very modern interpretation of the original time telling device, complete with Japanese Miyota movement and skillfully crafted wooden shells.
Full bodied with a perfectly round white watch face and encased in an elegant Walnut wood shell, the MMT Calendar Walnut has a rose gold plated case clipped to a genuine leather strap that slips comfortably around the wrist. In its separate parts it looks modern and mysterious; once assembled, it is a contemporary classic.
And so is the MMT Maple pocket watch. As you may have already guessed, this model is carried in a Maple wood case, which demands a different colour scheme from the design. Soft camel-coloured leather is attached to the stainless steel case with an alloy clip.
Both watches are now available from Twisted Time now so all that's left for us to ask is, are your pockets ready?
